- The Emergency Education Center has great results. They are known all over the world for their quality, approach to work, responsibility and serve as an example. Prevention is very important and that is why it is our obligation to invest in education and health workers, but also citizens, employees of other institutions, MUP KS, Civil Protection, etc. We all need to know how to keep someone alive until the ambulance arrives, and these skills are also taught at this center, said Adem Zolj, the KS prime minister who is especially happy about the center's name.

The Prime Minister also remembers the most difficult days of the war and Dr. Silva Rizvanbegović, who energetically, bravely, diligently, uncompromisingly saved the lives of Sarajevans and advised them on how to preserve their health and life. On one of those missions, she lost her life in a white coat.

KS Minister of Health Zilha Ademaj also believes that the name of Dr. Silva Rizvanbegović is a debt and an obligation.

- The Ministry has always provided support to the Ambulance, which is a model for other health care institutions. In the budget for 2019, we also planned funds for the adaptation of the entire central ambulance facility, said Ademaj and added that she always believed that the staff should be increased and educated.

The Minister of Health of KS pointed out that thanks to the director of the Ambulance Adem Zalihić, this space was made that will benefit everyone, but she also noted that great credit for everything that the Ambulance is today belongs to previous directors Dr. Alija Mulaomerović and others. Seni Softić-Taljanović who preserved the dignity of the institution even in the most difficult times.

The director of the Emergency Service, Adem Zalihić, pointed out that the modern Center for Education will enable the employees of the Emergency Service to become even better in transferring information to new course participants.

Reference Center

- We have been dealing with education in the field of Emergency Medicine for over 25 years and this is the articulation of all our needs and requirements in order to transfer knowledge and skills to our students in a better and higher quality way. The new space will enable classes to take place. It is possible to divide it into three spaces that will allow different stations during one course. We have exceptional aids for education, a video link with our resuscitation box, we have the opportunity to have all models and dolls in one place as well as administrative space for managers, which has not been the case so far, said director Zalihic, emphasizing that the results help invaluable. Since 2005, ambulance crews have had 547 successful resuscitations, and in 2018 there were 41.

KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE WORLD BY KNOWLEDGE AND QUALITY

The Sarajevo Emergency Education Center was founded in 1987 thanks to the idea of Dr. Silva Rizvanbegović and her colleagues. It stopped working in 1992, at the beginning of the aggression on BiH, and was activated again in 1996, and the head of the Educational Center at that time was Dr. Jasminka Kovačević. He is currently the head of the Educational Center Dr. Aida Gavranović.

- We are proud of the results and the fact that we are known in BiH and abroad for quality. Our medical staff and instructors have successfully mastered the courses and obtained numerous international licenses. We are the only reference center for pre-hospital trauma training in BiH, and very often hosts colleagues from BiH and the world, said Gavranović, emphasizing that in the new space it will continue with the basic mission, continuous education, training and trainings primarily of ambulance staff. , which is the care and emergency treatment of life-threatening patients in KS, and then all other medical and non-medical workers.
