On this occasion, they discussed specific activities for the reorganization of the health system in the Sarajevo Canton, which were precisely defined and set at the meeting in early August.

Although it was announced that from September 1, all central health centers will be open until 10 pm, and the rest until 8 pm, this has not been realized so far because regulations on job systematization and working hours have not been made yet, which will create all the necessary legal - formal conditions for the introduction of longer work.

It was also agreed at the meeting that the ambulance will hand over the premises to the Health Center for the needs of pediatricians on duty, which is why Minister Ademaj will form a commission that will be in charge of establishing the necessary conditions for pediatricians in these premises.

Prime Minister Zolj expressed his dissatisfaction because the announced activities were not realized within the set deadline, and he insisted that the procedures be accelerated in order to finally define the "patient's path" through the health system of the Sarajevo Canton.

He pointed out that better organization of primary health care is necessary in the interest of the citizens of Sarajevo.

"Everyone who has children knows what the problem is when a child, for example, gets a fever at night. Usually, parents in such situations immediately went to KCUS, and now we will enable them to have this service in the Emergency Room. In this way, we are trying to relieve tertiary health care, "said Prime Minister Zolj.

He added that the goal of reorganizing the work of health care institutions is primarily to reduce crowds in health centers, improve service, and create conditions for faster intervention.

Considering that it was stated that the Commission of the Ministry of Health of KS did not prepare the Instruction on the "path" of the patient through the health system by the end of this month, it was proposed to extend that deadline to October 22.

It was reiterated that the instruction should be binding for all.

Since the competent Ministry did not take appropriate action, it was agreed that the entire Reorganization Plan should be done and submitted to the Government of Sarajevo Canton for consideration and adoption by the end of October, after which it would be sent to the parliamentary procedure.

The meeting discussed the frequent abuse of sick leave, and it was said that the Health Center and the Health Insurance Institute continuously monitor and control sick leave.

"I still think there was too much waiting to take concrete steps, and everything could have been done earlier. This must be completed by the end of October, because the users of health services must not wait any longer ", stressed Prime Minister Zolj at the end.
