The Municipality of Centar financed the purchase of motor vehicles for the needs of the Public Institution ZHMP

Centar Municipality Funds Procurement of Motor Vehicles for Sarajevo Canton Emergency Medical Service and Mountain Rescue Service
On Wednesday, November 28, 2018, in the premises of the Institute for Emergency Medical Aid of Sarajevo Canton, contracts were signed for the provision of two vehicles for use.
The contracts were signed by the Mayor of Centar, Dr. Nedžad Ajnadžić, with the director of the Institute for Emergency Medical Aid of Sarajevo Canton, Adem Zalihić, and the president of the Association of Mountain Rescue Service - Sarajevo Station, Dženadin Veladžić. The handover of the vehicle was attended on behalf of the Municipality of Centar by the Chairperson of the Municipal Council Karolina Karačić, her Deputy Mustafa Mulić, and Vahid Bećirević and Haris Aganović from the Civil Protection Service and local communities.

Namely, these are two special-purpose vehicles procured by the Municipality of Centar from the budget funds of civil protection, namely a van "Ford Transit" for the needs of the Institute for Emergency Medical Aid of Sarajevo Canton, and an off-road motor vehicle "Toyota Land Cruiser" for the Mountain Service rescue.

In this way, the long-standing practice of the Municipality of Centar has been continued, which, although it has no competencies, strongly supports health institutions and protection and rescue services, and provides significant funds for improving their work.

After signing the contract, Mayor Ajnadžić handed over the vehicle keys to Director Zalihić and President Veladžić, and reminded that the Municipality of Centar, as a responsible social community, has carried out such activities before, and that such practice will continue in the future.

-This is a direct contribution of the citizens of this local community, but also the municipal administration to complete our joint cooperation, which is essential in the segment of health care and in the segment of protection and rescue. In addition to the donation of this vehicle, we are also working on the opening of an ambulance in the municipality of Centar, which would enable an even better response in emergencies. These two vehicles should be in the function of protection and saving human lives, said Ajnadzic.

Director Zalihić emphasized that in emergencies, time is the greatest enemy of both the patient and the doctor.

-I take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to the Municipality of Centar, led by the Mayor Dr. Nedžad Ajnadžić, for this extremely valuable donation. This vehicle will help us a lot in our work. When we save the lives of our fellow citizens, one of the most important components is time. Our mission is to reach the patient as soon as possible, and for such a thing we need, among other things, a modern vehicle that will best meet the task. This is the best example of how a local community should take care of its population, Zalihić pointed out.

Veladzic also thanked Mayor Ajnadzic for donating the vehicle and expressed hope that mutual cooperation would continue in the future.

- I would like to thank the Municipality of Centar for the donation of this vehicle, which will help us react faster in critical situations, added Veladžić.
