The official presentation of the mobile application of the Sarajevo Canton Ambulance was held today, September 29. in the Education Center of the Public Institution ZHMP KS. The application includes four important segments, a map of publicly available Automatic External Defibrillators in BiH, the possibility of informing citizens about all important public health programs to preserve and improve health, a multimedia first aid brochure to teach citizens basic first aid measures, and the section "First Aid Volunteers ”Which allows educated citizens to make themselves available to the dispatch center for first aid until the arrival of the emergency medical team. The application also offers a section "Sponsors" where all those who want to purchase AEDs and make it available to BiH citizens can be registered. To our knowledge, this is the first application in Europe developed by an emergency medical service. The presentation was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of KS, Institute of Public Health of FBiH and Sarajevo Canton, KCUS, General Hospital of Sarajevo Canton, Health Centers of KS, Faculty of Health Studies Sarajevo and Mountain Rescue Service Sarajevo. Representatives expressed their satisfaction with what they saw and promised support for the project of expanding the network of publicly available AEDs and educating citizens on the Basic Measures of Life Support. The application is designed for Android and iOS operating systems and should be available to citizens by the end of the week.
In order to expand the network of AEDs in BiH, Dr. Nemanja Močević on behalf of the company Bromabel, donated one AED that will be installed and available to the citizens of Sarajevo Canton.
