”Dr. Adem Zalihic, director of the Sarajevo Canton Emergency Medical Service, reported an attempted corruption to the authorities.
Namely, an unknown person offered him a gift in money via SMS so that the doctor (name known to Zalihić, op. Cit.) Could establish a working relationship in the Emergency Room.
In September last year, Zalihic reported the case to the Office for the Fight against Corruption and Quality Management of the Sarajevo Canton, and on that occasion he was questioned in the premises of the Economic Crime Department of the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) KS. A few days ago, he addressed the Sarajevo police in writing with a request for information on the stage of the report, what has been done and whether the person who sent him the SMS has been identified.
According to the response he received from the police, police officers from the Economic Crime Department of the Criminal Police Sector of the KS Ministry of the Interior identified the sender of the messages and took evidence on the orders of the Sarajevo Municipal Court. As further stated in the answer, objects were found that can serve as evidence in criminal proceedings, after which the suspect was submitted to the KS Prosecutor's Office on January 4 this year with a report on the criminal offense due to suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Giving Gifts and other forms of benefits "Our Ministry of the Interior is doing its job, whether some want to admit it or not. This is confirmed by this example of identifying dishonest people who are trying to disturb the order in our institution. Order and discipline do not suit them, so they are trying in different ways to sway us in our intention to do our job honestly and fairly, for the benefit of all citizens of KS. This time we present one of the highly "sophisticated" methods, and there is a lot of it. For who knows how many times, they fell into the water to sue us, so they tried to bribe. What would the people say "give up your hard work", and let us work. We are really serious ", stated Zalihić in a post on Facebook.
