As part of the project of establishing the Observation for potentially vitally endangered patients, a Laboratory Service was established with an adequate response for the needs of these patients. On that road, 08.12.2020. year, for the first time in the history of the Laboratory Emergency Service Sarajevo, a finding of cardiac protein (Tnl) was made, which is very important in diagnosing myocardial infarction without clear signs on the Ekg-e finding. Until now, our medical teams have been forced to transport such patients to the secondary or tertiary level of health care for observation and laboratory diagnostics.
After the examination, observation, orderly laboratory findings and prescribed therapy, the mentioned patient was sent home with a note to contact the family doctor for further treatment.
A clear example of benefits for all: in the first place for the patient (received an important finding in time), for our mobile teams (did not have to transport the patient), for our institution and the total budget (fuel savings), for colleagues at the General Hospital and KCUS had to treat this patient)!
With the future X-ray service, this story will be completed and give its full effect!
