As we promised, the free Emergency Medical Service of Sarajevo Canton for Android and iOS platform will soon be available through the Play Store and App Store.
- Without registration, the application will provide the user with education through the basics of first aid through a multimedia display. Procedure for sudden cardiac arrest with the use of an AED, stopping bleeding, immobilization, snake bite, procedure in an unconscious patient… are just some of the instructions that will always be at hand for every user.
Via a map of available AEDs (automatic external defibrillators), if necessary, and based on the user's current location, navigation will take the rescuer to the nearest defibrillator.
- With the aim of recognizing sudden cardiac arrest as early as possible and starting resuscitation at the scene of the accident until the arrival of the HMP team, the application will provide special access to all volunteers who completed training at the JH ZHMP KS Education Center, regardless of whether they were medical professionals or to the laity. Volunteers active through the app will be visible at their current location and only available to HMP KS dispatchers who can direct them to the scene of an accident in their immediate vicinity to begin providing first or medical assistance until the HMP team arrives.
- Thanks to friends from the company "Verlab" Sarajevo, in parallel with the application, we are working on a project to deliver AEDs by drone to the crash site to our registered volunteers, all with the aim of raising emergency medical care to an even higher level with even better results. Simply, we go faster, we give more to our citizens !!!
