Since May, the emergency medical service has provided 3,087 interventions to the citizens of the central city municipality, within which 5,844 services have been performed.

 

During the opening of the emergency medical aid station, which is located in the premises at 20 Miss Irbina Street, in May this year, the Mayor of Centar Dr. Nedzad Ajnadzic emphasized that this project will show complete justification.

From the beginning of May until today, the emergency medical service in the Center, established by the Public Institution "Institute for Emergency Medical Aid of Sarajevo Canton", provided 3,087 interventions to the citizens of the central city municipality, within which 5,844 services were performed. This includes giving parental therapy, treating injuries, dressing wounds, recording an ECG, applying oxygen, giving an infusion, placing a urinary catheter…

Also, during the past seven months, 2881 home visits of doctors with the accompanying team were made. In the same period, 766 medical transports of suddenly ill and injured patients to the hospital were performed.

-Availability of emergency medical teams at all times has contributed to the safety of life of citizens of the municipality of Center, but also gave medical field teams the quality of work due to shortening the time of arrival at the scene, said in a statement on behalf of JU "Institute for Emergency Medical help of KS ”director Adem Zalihić submitted to the Municipality of Centar.

The Municipality of Centar also set aside 10,000 KM for the purchase of medical and other necessary equipment for the opening of an emergency medical center in Miss Irbina Street, where the family medicine clinic was located, in addition to providing space for use for the mentioned needs. In addition to the above, a van and two motorcycles with accompanying equipment (suitcases with carriers) were also procured for the needs of the Institute for Emergency Medical Aid of Sarajevo Canton with the aim of better health care and saving the lives of our fellow citizens.
