Prof.dr. Pilav: Due to the increase in the number of newly infected in KS, we decided to tighten our order
Prof.dr. At today's press conference, Aida Pilav informed the public about the latest data related to the epidemiological situation in Sarajevo Canton, and gave additional explanations in the implementation of the recently issued new orders of this Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton. The daily bulletin says that, in the past 24 hours, 137 newly infected persons out of a total of 535 tested persons were recorded in KS. In the same period, 42 people were cured, while 52 patients were hospitalized at KCUS, and five of them were discharged.
The total number of infected people in KS from January 30 to October 15, 2020 is 5,416, the total number of cured people in KS is 4,725, while there are currently 598 active cases, with 93 deaths.
"From October 2 to 16 this year, there are 1,235 people in self-isolation. The Public Health Institute of KS draws the attention of citizens who are in home isolation to adhere to the recommendations for the prevention of infection control in households with suspicious or confirmed COVID-19 cases, "said Dr. Pilav.
On this occasion, the President of the Staff gave additional explanations regarding the recently adopted orders of the KS, in order for the public and the population to have a clearer picture of the situation and the measures that currently need to be implemented.
Assessing that the Crisis Staff of MZ KS is leading the processes of prevention and protection of the population against the COVID-19 pandemic very well, she reminded that the Federal Ministry of Health has a Federal Crisis Staff which has been issuing appropriate orders since the beginning of the pandemic. "Sarajevo Sarajevo Canton is also following these orders. The order on which we relied and issued our order two days ago caused, in my opinion, unnecessary doubts. We remind you that from October 2, according to the prescribed order of the Federation of BiH, it is mandatory to wear protective masks indoors and outdoors, while respecting the distance ……….
