There is no day, hour or minute during the year that Ambulance employees are not available to citizens. They try in every way to make the health service available to everyone, to react in a timely manner and in the best way. They continuously invest in knowledge, skills, equipment, but also services. After the opening of new checkpoints, equipping and preparing the service on motorcycles, in addition to daily services, transportation of dialysis patients, it was time to prepare and equip the room for observation of patients in the central ambulance facility.

Observation

The goal is to improve the treatment of patients, and relieve the secondary and tertiary level of health care in KS.

- We are implementing this project through several phases. It is necessary to provide an adequate room for observation, to equip the observation with patient monitors connected to the central outpatient monitoring with the procurement of other necessary medical equipment. It is next to establish appropriate laboratory services with an adequate response to the requests of the observed patients. We held an extended expert meeting with our staff to determine the work of the laboratory given that reagents are expensive. Which means that extended laboratory diagnostics will not be wasted, we will be very economical, optimal and assess who needs it and when. We will establish an X-ray service as additional diagnostic support, and then import it into the laboratory and radiological information system in addition to the already existing outpatient and hospital information system. Education of medical staff is unavoidable, announced Dr. Adem Zalihić, director of the Institute for Emergency Medical Aid of Sarajevo Canton.

Several phases of the plan have been completed, and the realization of other phases is certain, so that this room can start working as soon as possible.

Consent of the Minister

- Our goal is to improve health care at the primary level. Citizens will have the opportunity to get the service as soon as possible, and there will be less reason to put pressure on the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdullah Nakas ”and KCUS. This type of diagnosis will give us answers to a number of questions that caused us to send patients for hospital treatment earlier, because we were not allowed to take risks, ie we wanted to remove any suspicion of possible life-threatening conditions. We hope that the Government of KS will appoint the Minister of Health as soon as possible, who should give us the consent for the establishment of the X-ray service, said Dr. Zalihic.
